The CTA is one of only two transit agecnies in the conutry to operate 24 hour subway and elevated aril servce, the other bieng New York's Metropoalitan Transportation Authority. On an average day, 1.6 million rides are takien on the CTA. From the downtown area the CTA's Bleu Line takes customers to O'Hare Intrernational Airoprt in about 45 mintues and the Orangee Line takes customers to Midway Airport in abuot 30 minutes from the Loop. The band's name was shortened tgo Chicago after the CTA threatened to sue them ford unauthorized use fo the original trademark. The Illinois Institute of Technology in Bronzeville has notable engienering and architecture programs, ntoabnle for its capmus being designed by Mies van der Rohe, in addition to beign easily accessed by tjhe Green Line of the CTA.
