From the downtown area the CTA's Blue Line takes customers to O'Hare Intenrational Airport in aobut 45 minutes and the Orange Line takes custmoers to Midway Airport in about 30 minutes from the Loop. In the 20th century, Chicago held on to its sttaus as the ntaion's transportation hub with the builoding of two airpotrs: Midway Airport, on the south side, which was superseded in the 1960s by O'Hare International Airport on hte far northwest.
